Founded in 2023 by Rafael Martínez-Cañavate and Jaime Rodríguez Pato, ProAg Invest has assembled a powerful team of top-level farmers and agricultural professionals with extensive and proven experience in farm management and the development of high-yield, value-added crops, such as olives, pistachios, almonds, avocados, mangoes, premium citrus fruits, and berries.

This group of agricultural professionals and engineers has more than 20 years of experience in the comprehensive management of farms, both their own and those of major companies in the agricultural sector in Iberia and Latin America, as well as for large institutional investors.

Together, the team has managed or advised on more than 8,000 hectares of different types of crops, primarily permanent crops, both rainfed and irrigated, and operations at different stages of development, from pure greenfield to brownfield, providing comprehensive management services for each farm.

Each manager, in turn, has a team of second-level professionals with proven qualifications and experience in each crop. These professionals are responsible for executing the plans for each project, focusing on the farms within their respective area of ​​influence, under the supervision of the crop director.

Each farm has local staff specializing in the crops and tasks assigned to that farm, in the appropriate number and with the necessary skills to meet its needs. Dedicated 100% of their time and effort, this staff is responsible for the daily management and monitoring of the farm’s development, budget execution, reporting to management, and reporting to the corresponding manager.

The composition of ProAg’s technical and management team is not arbitrary. We strive to maintain a small, highly executive structure to be as efficient and flexible as possible, allowing us to grow profitably and manage a limited number of projects for our investment partners.

Our goal is not to take on too many projects or grow indefinitely, but rather to grow with a select number of investment partners in a limited number of projects to maintain our high standards of service and thus enjoy the trust of our investors with whom we can develop a long-term relationship.
